To all the moms, wives, party throwers and hostesses who have spent too many hours driving across town to find that last pack of coordinating party plates, we hear YOU! You spent the entire week before your event running ragged to make sure each and every detail was thought of and executed with style, all while managing an already jam-packed schedule. So consumed with filling and re-filling the chips and making sure everyone went home with their party favor, the real meaning of the celebration was lost in your exhaustion of pulling off yet another flawless, Pinterest-worthy party.
The perfectly planned celebration isn’t a barometer of how well you love.
Celebrations, whether a first birthday party, wedding shower or dinner with friends around a kitchen table, should be about the people you are honoring, because in the end, the most precious moments in life are those shared with people you love.
Chips and Salsa Designs is a boutique party design brand that brings you fresh party ideas and products, so you can focus on what’s important, your people. With coordinating invitations, party decor and stationery, the time it took to race to the store for that pack of party plates, can now be spent being present with those you love, celebrating life.
Yes, I love pretty paper and am a sucker for letterpress printing, but truth be told, I enjoy working with people (you!) more than all the pins on Pinterest. I’m a native Texan living in Iowa, married a New Yorker, dabbled in a couple different industries before taking the entrepreneurship plunge, and now spend my days helping clients outfit their most special celebrations.
My sister and I both became members of our family by way of adoption. For this reason, adoption is close to my heart and why many of the birth announcements you find on this site are adoption oriented. A portion of all adoption announcement profits are donated to local agencies or families going throughthe adoption process.Party Top Tip – indulge in fun and festive paper napkins (I get mine from Homegoods) My Daughter’s First Birthday Party Theme – sprinkles, sprinkles, sprinkles! Favorite Invitation Shape – square invitations are so unique and allow the invite design to really shine
To say I love weddings is an understatement! I always manage to get involved in the organising of all my friends’ and family’s big day; largely due to the fact I have been absorbed in the bridal industry for over 10 years now. Having run a hugely successful bridal store in South-West London for 8 years, I married my childhood sweetheart and we had our lovely baby boy. In between nursery runs and bath-time the ‘wedding itch’ has slowly crept back…so I am proud to be heading the Chips and Salsa Designs venture into the UK market. I was astounded by how wonderful Abbey’s designs were and I thought it was only fair we brought them over the pond for all the lovely UK clients to enjoy!

WHAT’S WITH THE NAME?
Although commonly thought to be named for the beloved Texas delicacy (hey, us Texans we take our Tex-Mex seriously), Chips and Salsa was actually named after two birds who were bright, full of life, and for pets, were a bit unexpected. Just like the birds, we hope to deliver a service full of personality, surprise and lots of smiles.
